The problem is they are NEVER treated well in zoos, circuses or entertainment. They are beaten, restricted so they can't move, live in small cages or cement enclosures, are subject to constant pain from the bullhooks, chains and whips. These are very social, intelligent creatures. To those of you who support circuses and other entertainment venues that use animals for greed, I wish you would be in the animals' situation for a few days.
If you want this to stop then send the Times Special Report to every editor in the country so that when other zoos try to cover up the world of hurt their elephants are in and when the circus comes to town, other editors will have the truth at their finger tips. The Times has given us the tool, now all we have to do is use it. The least we can do is send it to our own local editors.

The breeding brokers, zoos and other companies that deal in wild animals need to be closed. This is not alright. It is inhumane and should be illegal.
