Should Jefferson Parish's inspector general be allowed to save unused money in a reserve fund?

No. Whatever budgeted money the inspector general doesn't use in any given year should go to the parish's general fund, as the charter mandates.
Yes. Voters dedicated a millage exclusively for the inspector general, and the office should be able to save leftover funds.
