"It's 'modern' pattern is hard to miss. It is intended to be visually interesting and draw the eye." A truly remarkable quote from the Council spokesman, so in response some poetry ...
Beneath this slab
John Brown is stowed
He watched the ads
And not the road
(Ogden Nash)
Too harsh? How about Ogden again
I think that I shall never see
A billboard lovely as a tree
Perhaps, unless the billboards fall
I'll never see a tree at all ….

Please plant trees on the highway side of it to hide it and replace some of the trees that are being/have been removed throughout town. Dubbo is losing the in town agriculture which is great for the growth of our town but a shame, look at any "exclusive" or "prestigious" town and there will be tree lined streets. Dubbos growth and economy is good let's now lift the image. Dubbo is a great place to live but a stigma still remains, let's show people it no longer applies.
Thanks
