I think both have the opportunity if they are committed to doing the work. Both will have to live eat and sleep basketball and spend four or five hours a day at the gym. They're going to have to be patient with themselves because it is a very steep learning curve from college to the pros. I think Hayes is more athletic, and has there for a faster route to success but Koenig is an amazing shooter and if the team needs an outside Triple Threat coming off the bench he's there guy.

I disagree with the comments on Hayes. Hayes has a nice offensive game that was held back by the Wisconsin swing system. He has a nice handle and can pass. And has a nice post game and decent mid range jumper. He has good chance of being a solid NBA player. Koenig can shoot the shit out of the ball but is he athletic enough to play the point in the NBA? Maybe he is a poor man's Andre Miller.

I think Dave is probably correct....neither will play significant minutes even if they land a roster spot....course its all a big sports guess...and how many of u he/Dave Wottle was the premier race walker in the USA, when 70s-80s?...i do remember Dave think he made the cover of SI at least once...
..u can probably tell me more...or i could google him/u

The correct answer should really be neither. But if forced to choose, Koenig is a solid 3 point shooter - a sought after skill in the NBA, and he does have situational quickness off the dribble. Defensively is a liability. I don't see Hayes in the NBA with his limited offensive skills - largely a post-up player which does not get one far at his height. If a stretch 4 maybe. Better chance overseas.
